In this episode, I chat with my colleagues Kevin Liu and Andres Villegas Ramirez about ChatGPT and similar generative AI, and its impacts on how we approach education. We outline some of the common responses we are already seeing from the education sector, from outright bans by some Australian state governments to early adopters. We then explore some of the benefits and challenges of these approaches, and look into the long term to see what the future may hold.Despite the doom and gloom some sources are spruiking, we have great hope for where these AI tools might take us, and I hope that after hearing our thoughts, you also share our optimism! For any questions or feedback, you can reach me at poon.leung@unsw.edu.auKevin's profile: https://www.unsw.edu.au/staff/kevin-liuAndres' profile: https://www.unsw.edu.au/staff/andres-villegas-ramirez

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy really is "You can dance like nobody's watching, but should teach like everyone is"! Our teaching practices should be open and transparent, both to our colleagues in the profession and the students in our classes.

Our podcast strives to be inclusive, so in addition to the sagely advice of expert teachers, we also want to hear about the challenges and experiences of more junior colleagues, stories from students and recent graduates, and everyone in between.

So grab a coffee and put on an episode of “Teach Like Everyone’s Watching”, we guarantee your money back if you don't like it (the podcast is free, duh)!
